#734 - PSALMS 4:6-7 // PROVERBS 4:7

There are many who say, “Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O Lord!” You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. Psalms 4:6-7

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. Proverbs 4:7

Heavenly Father…I praise you as a loving God and Father who places joy in my heart. But not only do you place joy in my heart, you place the type of joy in my heart that far exceeds the type of joy that the world can offer me. Thank you Father for giving me joy in the midst of difficult circumstances. Thank you for giving me joy during seasons of great blessing. I praise you Lord that your joy is my strength.

May I never forget that obtaining, pursuing, and getting wisdom is the beginning of wisdom! It is wise to get wisdom. Wisdom starts with a desire to obtain it. Lord, keep this desire burning in my soul for as long as I live. And may I be committed to pursuing wisdom not just towards the end of me being wise, but so that my life can point towards, glorify, and honor You—my infinitely wise God! I pray all of this in Jesus name, Amen.
