#735 - PSALMS 5:7 // PROVERBS 5:18-19

But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. Psalms 5:7

Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Proverbs 5:18-19

Heavenly Father, I praise, honor, and adore you for your steadfast love for me. It is only through your love that I am able to be in your presence. It’s only because of your love, your grace, your kindness, your perseverance, your patience, and your long-suffering that I can have an intimate relationship with you. I am only able to love you and others because you first loved me. I praise you for your love. It’s a love that gives me comfort, value, joy, security, and hope for the future. If the God of all creation loves me, there can only be bright things ahead! Regardless of my personal circumstances, regardless of the world’s circumstances, because God loved me so much that he gave his one and only Son Jesus Christ for me, I can expect that the best is still before me!

Lord, I also praise and thank you for my wife Rebekah. She is a gift to me directly from you. A gift of your grace. A gift of your kindness. A gift of your watching out for me. As a good Father, you knew I would need a helpmate like Rebekah to love, support, encourage, and make me more into your image. Lord, please give me the wisdom and intentionality to rejoice in my wife more often. Help me to rejoice over her in ways that she knows I value her and rejoice in her. Bless my wife indeed, enlarge her territory, keep her from evil. Reveal more of yourself to her. Help her to be satisfied in you and your love for her more than anything else.

I love you Lord. I praise your name. You are good and your mercy endures forever. I pray all of these things in Jesus name, Amen.
