#732 - PSALMS 2:12 // PROVERBS 2:1-5
Blessed are all who take refuge in him. Psalm 2:!2
My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5
Heavenly Father, I praise you for being my refuge and strength—a very present help in trouble. In 2021, when I am afraid, help me to take refuge in you. When I am sad, help me to take refuge in you. When I am confused, help me to take refuge in you. When I am succeeding and experiencing blessing, help me not to forget that your gifts are not my refuge, you are my refuge. I praise you Lord that I do not have to look to anyone or anything on this earth for refuge, security, safety, or comfort. You are my refuge!
Thank you Lord for your promise of understanding the fear of the Lord and finding the knowledge of God if I make my ear attentive to wisdom. I am so thankful for a new year to pursue your wisdom through your Word! I am expectant that you will meet me and guide me and change me more into your image as I “call out for insight and raise my voice for understanding.”
I love you Lord. I praise you for your kindness and goodness in my life. I pray all of these things in Jesus name, Amen.
