Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance… Proverbs 1:7 (ESV)
…walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:10 (ESV)

I’m often tempted.

To become complacent. To get comfortable. To be satisfied with what I already know.

I get lazy.

I don’t want to do the work of growing. I don’t want to put in the effort to go deeper. I don’t want to exert the energy required to wrestle with the truths of God’s Word towards the end of understanding them at another level.

But the admonition is clear…increase.

Increase in learning. Increase in the knowledge of God. Increase.

There’s more to know. There’s more to understand. There’s more to behold.

Don’t settle for less. Increase.
