5 MEMORABLE MOMENTS (SEPTEMBER 2019)

  1. Celebrated my 15-year wedding anniversary with Rebekah in Rome, Italy.

  2. Witnessed my nephew get baptized and my brother-in-law get married.

  3. Enjoyed delicious dinner at Liholiho Yacht Club and John Mayer concert at Chase Center with my wife and the Huang’s.

  4. Ministered at a Men’s Retreat, Middle/High School Camp, and a wedding.

  5. Received a warm welcome back from my church family during our six-year anniversary service.

  6. Bonus: Added the Air Jordan x Union I’s (both pairs!) and the Air Jordan XII “Playoffs” (these were stolen from out of my locker in high school so this was a particularly special pick-up) to my collection.

  1. Preached at the #Hijacked2016 Summer Camp and saw God move mightily.
  2. Enjoyed a time of rest/relaxation with Rebekah at Acts 29 Pastor's Retreat in Long Beach, CA.
  3. Served specific people groups in our congregation by preaching on topics like #BlackLivesMatter and Sexual Assault. 
  4. Delegated authority to leaders to carry out important responsibilities at theMOVEMENT (Serve Our City/Preaching).
  5. Finished SF Marathon with Spencer and AJ (their first) and set a PR (5:17).

  1. Did 13 training runs for a total of 124 miles. (4 runs were half-marathons or longer!)
  2. Had a productive preaching off-site in Discovery Bay with Spencer, AJ, Glen, and Christopher.
  3. Grew friendship and established ministry partnership with Christopher Stites.
  4. Had largest giving month at theMOVEMENT ever!
  5. Hosted Rebekah's family in our home and re-connected with all of them.

  1. Run San Francisco Marathon in under 5 hours.  
  2. Serve the students/leaders of Hijacked 2016 well.
  3. Enjoy of a time of rest/relaxation with Rebekah at Acts 29 Pastor's Retreat in Long Beach, CA.

  1. Enjoyed seeing Tori Kelly and Third Story live with my wife and Spencer and Lanae.
  2. Ran 9 times for a total of 80 miles. (Ran "lake to lake" in Oakland)
  3. Invested in and developed relationships with Staff Team, Ministry Leadership Team, and Pastoral Team at Acts 29 West Conference.
  4. Took Merritt swimming for the first time in Discovery Bay.
  5. Completed and posted Pursue Ebook.

  1. Enjoyed watching, in great seats, the Giants beat the Dodgers in extra-innings with Hubert and Angela.
  2. Launched The Blueprint (Our Discipleship Process) at theMOVEMENT and facilitated our very first discipleship training.
  3. Ran 10 times for a total of 66 miles.
  4. Preached at two events outside of theMOVEMENT (Vallejo Young Adult Ministry/Hijacked 2016 Pre-Camp Rally).
  5. Invested in and developed relationships with staff at Directional Leadership Team Off-Site/Missions Intensive.

  1. Enjoyed being a part of Christina's proposal day!
  2. Re-energized at a productive/restful study break at Jenness Park. 
  3. Finished the Livermore Half-Marathon in under 2 hours 10 minutes and earned my Golden State Half Series Medal for consecutively running Oakland, San Francisco, and Livermore Half-Marathons!
  4. Accompanied my wife and friends to watch Justin Bieber live!
  5. Led our church to serve 300+ at our Easter Outreach and 250+ at our Easter Sunday service!

  1. Launched the Rescuing Awe radio program on 1640AM - KDIA.
  2. Brought home our chocolate labradoodle Merritt on February 13!
  3. Strengthened NAMB relationships (Assessment in Vegas; Warriors game).
  4. Blessed to watch Movement Leadership Team host missions team from Houston's First Baptist and execute a great week of ministry.
  5. Enjoyed a restful week at Johnson's Ferry with Rebekah for the MOVE Conference.

  1. Meet with tax guy.
  2. Take study break and get 3 weeks ahead with sermon prep.
  3. Complete Livermore Half-Marathon in at least 2 hours and 10 minutes.

  3. Released our very first EP! "A MOVEMENT CHRISTMAS"
  4. Ran 19.5 miles. Wrote 17 blog posts. Read 4 books.
  5. Embraced my identity as a runner, writer, reader, and leader!

  1. Completed SF Half-Marathon with Spencer. (I also ran it 27 minutes faster than the half-marathon I ran in August!)
  2. Had a great time growing friendships with Owen, AJ, and Spencer at Acts 29 Conference in Dallas, Texas. 
  3. Successfully moved into new home in Oakland!
  4. Enjoyed a very restful Thanksgiving break in Houston, Texas.
  5. Watched theMOVEMENT have two very successful services without me!

4 GOALS (DECEMBER)

  1. Meet with tax guy.
  2. Finish setting up bedroom.
  3. Re-design theMOVEMENT's website.
  4. Have Appreciate Dinner for Elders/Staff.

  1. Celebrated 11 years of marriage by enjoying a weekend away with Rebekah in San Luis Obispo.
  2. Celebrated theMOVEMENT's 2-Year Anniversary, highlighted by a touching cardboard testimonials presentation.  
  3. Played a role in seeing Wayne and Rochelle commit their lives to Christ.
  4. Finished reading Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, and Daniel . Journaled 11 times. 
  5. Joined a monthly Pastor's mentoring group in San Jose.

  1. Schedule and attend my first personal counseling session.
  2. Run 100 miles.

  1. Invested in my leadership by attending the Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit in San Jose and the Catalyst One Day in San Diego.
  2. Re-formatted edwardpaz.com and re-committed myself to consistently writing again. 
  3. Ran the half-marathon in Oakland for the 2nd consecutive year. (This year, with my dad and brothers.)
  4. Played a role in seeing Sarah and Erica commit their lives to Christ.
  5. Biked from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge with the Romero's for Rebekah's birthday.

  1. Enjoy a nice weekend away for our 11th anniversary. 
  2. Register for either the Spartan Sprint or the SF Half Marathon.
  3. Read 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork by John C. Maxwell.
